I have recently had keyhole surgery for a inguinal hernia. I found Christian to be incredibly knowledgeable regarding this area of surgery and the latest advancements in this field. Christian clearly demonstrated a passion to adopt the best approach for me in regards to my surgery and outlined the different approaches we could take with their pros and cons so that I was able to make an informed decision as to which method I wished to proceed with. Christian has a very approachable and warm manner and he instantly put me at ease which made it very easy for me to trust him. On the day of surgery I found Christian to be very attentive, meeting me early on to go through the process again and then post surgery he checked in on me immediately after and then again prior to me being discharged. This was all very reassuring. I have felt no pain at all throughout the whole process and my recovery is exactly in line with what I have been told to expect. I am very impressed at how little scarring there is and my hernia is completely fixed. Top marks Christian!

I was referred onto Dr Macutkiewicz from Stepping Hill to do a complete cholecystectomy & correct the previous operation they’d done. He was fantastic, listened to all my questions answered everything in full, explained the procedure in full including sketches and went through the possible complications of my particular surgery. He put me completely at ease and I felt confident that he would do everything he could to correct the problems I was having. On the surgery day, once I’d had the operation he personally called my next of kin to advise how the surgery had gone. He visited me every morning in hospital to check how I was progressing & in my follow up appointment 8 weeks after the operation he answered my queries. I’d definitely recommend him as a consultant, he’s given me my quality of life back again.
